How it works
Clarity II laser hair removal, using both 755nm and 1064nm wavelengths, is a precise process that disables hair growth at the follicle using targeted light energy. When a laser pulse is delivered to the skin, it seeks out melanin, the pigment concentrated in the hair shaft and bulb. As the light is absorbed by the melanin, it is converted into heat, damaging the follicle’s ability to produce new hair. Timing is essential: Treatments are most effective during the anagen phase, when hair is actively growing and fully connected to its blood supply. Since not all hairs are in this phase at the same time, multiple sessions are required for optimal results. The 755nm wavelength is ideal for lighter skin types (Fitzpatrick I–III) and finer hairs, offering strong melanin absorption and shallow penetration for precise, effective treatment. In contrast, the 1064nm wavelength penetrates deeper and is safer for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI), as it bypasses epidermal melanin, reducing risk while effectively treating coarse, deep-rooted hairs.
